Often a new customer comes to us (their previous repair shop has closed, they just moved here or ???) and they have no idea if the timing belt was ever replaced and the car has over 100,000 miles, or if the transmission fluid has been changed, or even how long it’s been since the last oil change. We can’t stress enough: save all your service receipts! Whether you keep them in a file in your car or home, keep a written “log book of repairs” or stuff them in the glove box, have somewhere that you / we can confirm that each service has been done. You spend a lot of money purchasing a car! In many cases, it’s your “baby.” You should know—or keep a record—of service and maintenance done, and, in the future, having kept those receipts will help you get top dollar when you sell your car because you have proof that the maintenance was done.
